2      Which personal data do we process and for what purposes?
We process the data you send to us in connection with your application in order to evaluate your suitability for a position (or possibly other vacant positions in our company) and to conduct the application process.

3      What is the legal basis for the processing?
Legal basis for processing your personal data during this application process is primarily Art. 26 of the German Data Protection Act in the version of 05/25/2018. According to this, we are permitted to process any data that are required to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship.

Should the data still be required after the completion of the application process, possibly for the purpose of legal action, we may be permitted to process your data based on the conditions of Art. 6 GDPR, in particular for the pursuit of legitimate interests as defined by Art. 6 Section 1f of the GDPR.  Our interest in this case is the assertion of or defense against claims.

4      How long are the data stored?
If you are rejected for a position, your data are deleted after 6 months. If you have agreed to further storage of your personal data, we will add them to our applicant pool. The data are deleted from the pool after two years. If you are accepted for a position during your application process, the data are transferred from our applicant data system to our personnel information system.

5      Which recipients are the data forwarded to?
Your applicant data are reviewed by our personnel department after your application is received. Suitable applications are then submitted internally to the department heads for the respective open position. The further process is then coordinated. Within the company, only those persons have access to your data who need them for the proper handling of our application process.

 

6      Your rights as a “data subject”
You have the right to be informed about our processing of your personal data. In case of requests for information that are not made in writing, please understand that we may require proof that you are the person you claim to be. You also have the right to have your data corrected or deleted or to limit our processing, provided you are legally entitled. Furthermore, you have the right to object to processing of your data withing the legal requirements. The same applies to the right to data portability.
